Excess is excited to offer the all new XLC-1 451 Alloy Wheelset. Track tested and rider approved, the new Excess XLC line are race focused and offer options for all level of racers and budgets!
Mini/Expert 20 Wheelset features a rear Cassette Hub with a 3 pawl, single engagement system, to a 24 ratchet ring inside the rear hub. Rear Cog is not included with the wheel set. The XLC-1 also uses our exclusive rims that offer 2 different rim profiles that feature a low profile, Double walled 6061 T6 Alloy rim with Optimized Internal Geometry for light weight and optional strength.
The rear hub also offers the option for you to be able to convert it for use with a disc brake! We offer this by allowing you to be able to accept a disc brake via an optional Disc Center Lock adapter! This gives you the best of both worlds. The Wheels are set up out of the box for V Brakes, but you can upgrade to Disc at anytime without getting a new rear hub!
